Albert Postma held several conferences each year in different parts of the world and frequently visited a group of brothers in India, where he had a very close friend named Bakht Singh. Bakht Singh was also, in a way, a mentor to Zac Poonen. The church where they gathered was called HEBRON.

So, first and foremost, Hebron is the name of a biblical location, mentioned many times in the Bible. For example, one reference can be found in Genesis 13:18.

This name was given to a very large church in India by Bakht Singh. Under the same name, the group led by Albert Postma in the Netherlands also operated—a man who became my spiritual mentor for many years. I thank God for these wonderful people.

Albert often traveled to Romania, where we spent a lot of time together and helped many families. I was the secretary of his organization. At one point, he became very ill and could no longer travel. It was then that he asked me something that seemed impossible to accomplish. He said to me:

"Iosif, I don’t have much time left on this earth, but after I’m gone, I want you to continue what I have started."

I didn’t say anything, but in my mind, I had two answers:

"I CAN’T" – because I was too poor to carry on. This work required a lot of financial resources.
"I DON’T KNOW HOW" – I was not professionally prepared to lead such a great work.
In short, I saw no way to continue. Yet, those words kept echoing in my mind and heart: "You must carry on what I have started."

Many years later, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I received a phone call from a brother named Sorin Maier, who invited me to a meeting in Cluj with Mario Bruhlmann for a series of courses. I attended, and something happened there—a fire was ignited in me. I began to have hope again and to think about the project and the calling I had received so many years ago. Suddenly, I started seeing solutions.

I spoke more closely with Mr. Mario, and he greatly encouraged me. He even invited me to other meetings where I could learn things that I needed. So, in 2023, without hesitation, I founded the Hebron Christian Center Association—this time in Romania—with the vision of fulfilling that beautiful dream: to carry on the work that my beloved and dear friend Albert Postma had started.

I thank God, who, at the right time, brought people into my life to shape me into who I am today—the President of the Hebron Christian Center Association. My prayer is that through us, as an organization, many people will find their place and direction in life.

A Bible verse says: Ecclesiastes 3:11 – "He has made everything beautiful in its time."

About us

My name is Kocze Iosif. I am married to Kocze Agnita, and we have two children, Marius-Ernest and Mariana, who are both married. In the year 2000, I bought a house, and in the same year, an older couple, Postma Albert and Ada from the Netherlands, also bought a house in the same village, less than a kilometer from ours.

Our first meeting took place at the Pentecostal church in the village, a church I had founded and where I was a leader at that time. After a few meetings, Albert began to tell me something very important—how God had sent him 1,700 km for a specific person. Neither he nor I knew who that person was, but I felt in my heart that it was me.

We quickly became close friends. Albert visited me often because I had a back problem, and he was a doctor. In February 2003, at Albert’s insistence, I traveled to the Netherlands for further medical examinations at a hospital. There, I started therapy, which was a great help to me.

In Albert and Ada’s home, weekly prayer and Bible study meetings were held, and on Sundays, the church service also took place there.

Above the entrance door, a large sign read “HEBRON,” which, first and foremost, meant FELLOWSHIP.

WHERE DOES THE NAME "HEBRON" COME FROM AND WHY?

HOW WAS THE HEBRON CHRISTIAN CENTER FOUNDED, AND WHY "HEBRON"?

The Hebron Christian Center Association was founded with the desire to create a Christian environment where friendship and fellowship are at the heart of our gatherings and activities. We operate in the village of Spinuș, Bihor County.
